If you seek to resume treatment or transfer of care from another provider (UK or from abroad), please complete this questionnaire and attach your relevant documents and we will give you a quote, which will be in the £300-400 range depending on your documents.
Please do not book an appointment for medication prescription without submitting your assessment documents in advance.
If you do not have any documents, a full assessment will be required.
In addition to screening fees
These appointments are made by arrangement for selected cases, usually where there is a question regarding whether it will be possible to conduct an ADHD assessment, when there are other significant diagnoses which need assessment or input. If it is deemed appropriate to go on to do an ADHD assessment there will be an additional charge of £250-400 depending on the complexity of the case, which will be discussed at the time. A QB check (+£300) may also be required.
We offer two ways to assess Autism for adults whether that be a standalone Autism assessment or a combined ADHD and Autism assessment (often referred to as AuADHD)
Formal - the observational component may be done formally using the ADOS observation method which is preferred for a gold standard diagnosis if required for DLA, special provisions etc
Pragmatic - If your aim is self-discovery, neuroaffirmation and there are no legal requirements linked to the formality of your diagnosis it is possible to do a briefer assessment which allows the cost saving to be passed on to you.
All Autism and combined AuADHD assessments include a 30min feedback session to help deepen understanding of the diagnosis.
We encourage direct communications between clinician and patient, particularly during titration.
It is most efficient if straightforward requests for prescriptions are directed via the prescription reordering tab on the CamADHD website.
If there is a detailed exchange or significant changes made, in lieu of an appointment we sometimes apply a charge for an email consultation to reflect the clinician time spent.
To provide better service, optimise booking, reduce waste, improve clinical efficiency, please notify us as soon as possible if you cannot attend.
If you cannot keep an appointment, inform us at least 72 hours in advance by email (Admin@camadhd.co.uk) or phone (01223 983649), leaving your name, date of birth, and appointment details. No cancellation fee applies.
We understand that appointments may be forgotten or overlooked. Notifications confirming appointments are sent via email at the point of booking and then a reminder the day before. Please check with reception if you do not receive these or have updated contact details.
Missed video appointments will also be recorded as DNA ("did not attend").
DNA Fee for missed appointmentsA charge of 50% of the appointment cost applies if you do not attend an in-person or video appointment. If pre-paid, 50% will be refunded; if not paid, an invoice for 50% will be issued.
The Cambridge ADHD and Autism Centre — Terms and Conditions
We provide prescriptions. Medication needs to be purchased from community pharmacies - this is an additional expense which can be significant.
We will work with you to find the most cost-effective form of medication. We don't have any control over the pricing of private prescriptions but we have developed good working relationships with a number of local pharmacies.
Delivery of your medication to your home by our specialist pharmacy partner ITH is extremely convenient and competitively priced. If this method doesn’t suit you we can still post a prescription to your pharmacy of choice.
Shared Care is ideal if it is available.
Under a shared care arrangement, we continue as your specialist service and make prescribing decisions and your GP conducts physical monitoring and provides NHS prescriptions. This option is available in some areas and only in some practices. We are keen to increase the uptake of shared care by GP Practices. Ultimately, the decision regarding whether a shared care arrangement is possible rests with your GP.
